Reading today’s point to ponder below, about an archer, reminded me of the illustration about the stages of excellence that are often available to us. An beginning archer might start out feeling it is a real accomplishment if he hit the target. Then with improvement he might get around to aiming to hit the bulls eye. When I was a writer for Archery World Magazine I had the opportunity to interview several of the world’s greatest archers and, of course, they aimed for the dead center of the bulls eye. They not just aimed for that dead center, they actually saw themselves firing that arrow and seeing it hit dead center just before they actually released each arrow.
Just maybe it is time for you to change your focus and hone in on a higher of degree of excellence in your own career. Who are your heroes? Hone your outlook and your focus and then persist. Growing is a daily duty.
